In alchemy and philosophy, “prima materia” is that from which all things emerge: the base material of the universe. Fittingly, this fragrance unites both earthly and heavenly scents. Heavy on the cedar and gorgeous for fall, it also has a citrusy brightness to it that makes me love it for summer, too. I put it on and in my mind, I’m wrapping myself up in a Japanese or Scandinavian spa.
